Aníbal Quiñones is a proven creative leader & mentor with over 20 years of experience helping successful brands craft their narrative. Quiñones is currently a Chief Creative Officer and VP of Innovation at Arteaga & Arteaga in his native Puerto Rico. He teaches at La Escuela de Creativos de Argentina courses in digital creativity and creative trends.
Aníbal has received top industry accolades throughout his career, including Cannes Lions, Clio, LIA, New York Festivals, FIAP, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, and Webby, among others. In addition, he has served as a judge on international awards shows, including at Addys, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, FIAP, Locoto Publicitario, Luum, PHNX Awards, Caracol de Plata, and Cúspide, which he presided in 2019. In addition, Aníbal serves as President of the Caribbean chapter of the American Advertising Federation. Also, he recently started representing Cannes Lions in Puerto Rico.
In 2021 & 2022 at Arteaga & Arteaga, TOP FICE ranked the agency as the best independent agency in Puerto Rico. In addition, CREMA named it one of the top creative agencies in Puerto Rico. In 2016 at McCann, he was named one of the top Creative Directors of Latin America by Latinspots. That year he led the agencies to be the leading agency in his market at Cannes Lions, London International Awards, and Festival of Media.
Aníbal has written the political comic strip Pepito for over a decade. The comic strip is profoundly influential in Puerto Rico. As a result, UNESCO has awarded Pepito for its contribution to culture. Plus, the comic strip has received awards from the Puerto Rico Photojournalists Association, the Overseas Press Club, and the Institute of Culture of Puerto Rico.
