Carlos E. Laureano is a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico, where he obtained a bachelor degree in marketing. He began his career in advertising with Foote, Cone and Belding Communications in 1998 (DraftFCB).
In 2003 Laureano accepted the challenge from J. Walter Thompson Puerto Rico, where he went up the ranks, from Account Supervisor to Account Director, Group Director and Vice President of Client Service and Business Development. After 10 years with JWT, Laureano received a new challenge form WPP, now as CEO of Grey Puerto Rico, restructuring and relaunching the operation in 2013. In 2019 Carlos returned to JWT as CEO, being responsible for the launching of Wunderman Thompson PR.
Today, Carlos has become a WPP’s Puerto Rico key executive with a track record of 21 year working for the holding’s operating companies in the market. In 2023 Laureano was appointed as COO of VML, to launch and transform their Commerce and Health business in the island.
Carlos was President of the board of directors of the Advertising Agencies Association of Puerto Rico (2018 – 2019) and President of the Cúspide Creativity Festival of Puerto Rico (2019 and 2020).
