Nuno Tenazinha is the Founder and Managing Partner of KOBU Agency, an award-winning branding and digital agency based in Faro, Algarve. With over 15 years of experience, he brings together strategy, creativity, and behavioural insight to help brands grow with clarity, originality, and purpose.
His career started in Computational Systems Biology, an unexpected beginning that continues to shape the way he thinks: analytically, systemically, and with curiosity. That scientific foundation eventually collided with a growing passion for design, digital experiences, and storytelling, leading him to build projects across sectors such as health, tech, NGOs, fashion, and consumer brands.
In 2014, he founded KOBU to create the kind of agency he felt was missing in the Algarve: strategic, experimental, and unafraid to build bold brands. More than a decade later, he leads the agency with Sandra Lopes and a team of 14, partnering with clients across Europe and the US, including WWF, Red Cross, BNP Paribas, ILGA, Klarisana, Facialteam, HeartGenetics, SONAE Arauco, NH Hotels, Anantara, and Andaz. KOBU was distinguished as Portuguese Digital Agency of the Year in both 2022 and 2024.
Nuno also lectures regularly at ETIC Algarve and the University of Algarve, where he shares his perspective on strategic thinking, creative process, and the role of design in shaping better brands, and better decisions.
