I’m Angélica Espinosa, Designer, Art Director, and yeah, woo-hoo, Head of Art. I’m Colombian by birth and Hungarian at heart. I grew up with a great passion for art, design, good ideas (and beer!), and that’s why I decided to dedicate my life to advertising, a job that unites all these things into one. I’ve been working in our industry for more than 16 years, having tried my hand at BTL, ATL, editorial design, packaging design, digital design, branding, and web design. Aníbal Quiñones is a proven creative leader & mentor with over 20 years of experience helping successful brands craft their narrative. Quiñones is currently a Chief Creative Officer and VP of Innovation at Arteaga & Arteaga in his native Puerto Rico. He teaches at La Escuela de Creativos de Argentina courses in digital creativity and creative trends.

My road to advertising has been a particularly long one. In fact, it began in a canoe. At thirteen I did what most thirteen-year-olds do and paddled from Thunder Bay to Winnipeg along the historic Voyageur Routes. Because hey, why should the Jesuits have all the fun? After climbing out of that canoe I was on to my next obsession – snowshoes. By sixteen I had snowshoed over 1,500 miles (if you’ve ever walked home in the slush with cold feet, you’ll appreciate that’s a lot of miles.) But nobody says, “First you get the snowshoes, then you get the power.” So, I needed a different approach. I tried being a truck driver, a car jockey, a painter, a carpenter, a landscaper and selling hardware. All to no avail. I had to rethink my strategy, so I started running half marathons, then 24-hour relay races, then 24-hour endurance mountain bike races. And that’s when it hit me. I’ll get married, start a family, have two kids and I’ll let them be my toughest critics in this crazy ad game. And you know what, it seems to have worked. According to various industry publications I’ve been given the first and fifth place ranking in Canada as a creative and there’s lots of hardware to go with it. So, stop by some time and I’ll fry you up a lovely pan-seared tuna with a mango chutney sauce.

This is what I like the most about my job: to create surprising tales aimed at enhancing a product’s benefit through techniques able to maximize its value.

I started painting trains when I was a teenager, and my journey is yet ongoing. I have experienced new techniques and evolved my knowledge. Being a Venezuelan half Spanish Creative living in Germany, she‘s multiculturally-minded – and as a mother of two kids, multitasking is second nature to her. She‘s a proud member of the Art Directors Club Germany and Europe, and has also been part of many important International Creative Awards Juries. At the same time, Marjorieth is an activist on fighting breast cancer, helping others to detect tumors with time and to support others going through therapy, after she successfully beat the illness herself. That’s how her and her partners created Fuck it I’m Alive. While personal experiences made her grow, her professional experience made her a great creative leader. Philippe Pariente has been the President of IPG Health France since July 2009. He previously held the same position at Saatchi & Saatchi Healthcare Paris (Publicis Group) for six years.

Philippe practiced medicine in hospitals and private practice between 1986 and 1990.

He was project leader at the French association for the fight against AIDS (l'Agence Française de Lutte contre le Sida), a governmental institution in charge of HIV prevention. He was responsible for communication to healthcare professionals until 1994.

He then continued his career in a number of healthcare communication agencies including Torrent and Medicus in France.

My name is Tim Schneider, born in Buxtehude. I studied graphic design in Hamburg, started my career at Grabarz&Partner in Hamburg. In 2000 moved as Art Director with my copywriting partner to work for HEIMAT, Berlin. Became creative director art and unit lead over the years at HEIMAT, Berlin.

Her creative journey has included some of the biggest advertising agencies, such as Digitel and McCann. As creative director and one of the key members of the creative team at Futura DDB, she successfully continues to design communication and creative strategies, concepts and communication solutions for the McDonald's, Studenac (Croatia's largest grocer by store count, and others.)

Francis is a French creative director based in Germany for many years now. Copywriter at heart, with studies in history as a background and parallel activities as a style, food and music journalist, he has worked in several agencies between Paris, Hamburg and Berlin, most notably at Springer & Jacoby, DDB, VMLY&R, Grabarz & Partner and more recently Media.Monks.

His international work for brands like VW, Telekom, MINI, Porsche or Eurowings has gained a few industry recognitions (New York Festivals, One Show, ADC, Le Club des Directeurs Artistiques…) but most importantly from his family, who always has been his toughest and most respected judge.

He believes that creativity only happens when you have build a trustful relationship with your client. A client you need to hear, understand and respect, because at the end, he/she will always know his/her product better than advertisers. Francis is married and father of one. When he is not working, he is an outside hitter on the volleyball court, a baroque violin player, an ambient music composer or even a road cyclist. All things that keep him inspired, even on the weekends.

Stephanie has wanted to be in advertising since she was 12. And after winning a fight with her dad – who insisted she become a brain surgeon instead – her dream came true. She started in this industry as an art director but after two years, she magically transformed into a writer. Over the past 13 years, she’s worked on an extensive range of brands, winning a few awards along the way. But the greatest thing she has ever created (besides her son) was writing a children’s book, which has always been one of her lifelong dreams. She currently works at M&C Saatchi Abel as a Creative Director and Senior Copywriter, as she can’t give up her love of writing just yet. She sees herself as not just a creative, but an inventor and truly believes that creativity has the power to change the world.

Kaki’s career is unique and hybrid. He started the career as an account executive of ADK Tokyo where he spent nearly 9 years at the account side. Then he joined Beacon/Leo Burnett Tokyo in 2007 as a senior producer, and gradually expanded his role to an integrated planner, to an interactive creative director and to a creative director. Especially through a decade of working with Nike Japan both in ADK and Beacon/Leo Burnett Tokyo, he pursued creative innovations in addition to traditional ads, which naturally brought him to be recognized as a hybrid creative person.

He joined McCann Health in 2017 as Group Creative Director to pursue the health creative and was promoted to ECD in 2018. Loves surfing and animals.

Janez Rakušček joined the advertising world in 1989 as a student at the Academy for Theatre, Radio, Film and Television at University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. I am currently Head of Art at Publicis Groupe Belgium (Duval Guillaume / Leo Burnett / Publicis / Digitas / Prodigious), managing and leading the design department. In this role, my main objective is to bridge the gap between content and design, crafting the day-to-day work and award-winning case studies and projects for local, regional, and global awards.

Before moving to Brussels, I held a different role within the Groupe, as Creative Director of the Lisbon Office for two years. Two years that brought massive amounts of personal and professional satisfaction. During that period, I became a father, and the agency was named the Best Integrated and Innovative Agency in Portugal.

And in the five years prior to these life and career defining moments-- I was Senior Art Director at the Leo Burnett Lisboa office. Throughout his career, Steve has built a vast experience across many sectors, such as Automobiles, Mobility, Energy, Culture, Retail, FMCG, Fast Food, Finance, Telecommunications and others.

During his time at the company, Steve has had the privilege of working with highly talented people. Together they managed to win important awards such as Cannes Lions, Effies, D&AD, One Show, LIA, Nyf, Eurobest, ADCE, El Ojo, FIAP, Creative Club of Portugal and others. Along the last decade, Steve has been nominated several times for Best Copywriter and Best Creative Director of the country, by the Portuguese Creative Club’s National Ranking.

Steve got his bachelor’s degree in Communications (UFPR-Brazil), with a double major in Advertising and Journalism.

Mariano began his career at Lautrec Saatchi & Saatchi during one of the golden moments of advertising in Argentina. After consecutive golds at Cannes in the late 1990s, he began a world tour with Saatchi that took him to New York, Toronto, Sydney and Paris.

During his 17 years with the agency he worked for Toyota, Sony, Procter & Gamble (Tide, Eukaneuba) General MIlls (Cheerios, Total), Tylenol, J & B, Beck's Bier, Villavicencio and many other clients.

In 2009, back in his native Buenos Aires he co-founded Les Argentins, a creative outsourcing agency with an innovative model: it only worked for other ad agencies, delivering white label creative ideas. For ten years Les Argentins exported thousands of ideas to France, Mexico, Canada, Germany, and the US.

In 2020 he joined Grey Argentina as Creative Director for Borderless, exporting Argentine creativity but within WPP this time.

Since 2021 he is Executive Creative Director co-leading the Borderless operation. His duties include Worldwide and North American Creative lead for Haleon brands including Tums, Robitussin, Emergen-C, Sensodyne and Pronamel. He is also one of the heads of the WPP Haleon Global Creative Council.

Raúl Lizaola is Group Creative Director at BBDO Mexico. With 14 years of experience, he began his career at J. Walter Thompson, where in just three years, he went from Junior Copywriter to Creative Director. After a stint at DDB, he came to BBDO to lead the team responsible for Bayer brands.

His work has been recognized in the main international and regional festivals, such as Cannes Lions, Clio, One Show, El Sol, FIAP and El Ojo de Iberoamérica.

He has worked for practically all categories. Among the main clients are Coca-Cola, AB InBev, Nike, McDonald's, Uber, Pepsi, Ford, UNICEF, UN Women, Save the Children Fund, Mexican Red Cross, Walmart, Unilever, Nestlé, Kellogg's, Danone, Essity and Johnson & Johnson. As for Pharma, since the beginning of his career he has worked with practically all Bayer brands, and currently leads both local and regional campaigns for important global brands, such as Aspirin, Aleve and Alka-Seltzer.

Thom is an Associate Creative Director at Wieden+Kennedy with a background in copywriting. With 10+ years of experience in advertising, he has worked in some of the biggest agencies in Brazil creating for iconic global brands such as Nike, Google, Old Spice, Budweiser, Cheetos, Uber and many more, having his work awarded in some of the most important festivals of our industry.

He began his career as a copywriter at McCann Santiago in 2005. He later worked at other multinational agencies such as TBWA, DYU, and Euro RSCG (now Havas WW), where he handled practically every category in the industry. In 2013, he took on his first Creative Director role at a local agency, Boliche, propelling it to the Top Ten creative agencies in its first year. In 2016, he joined another local agency, Los Quiltros, as Partner and Creative Director, elevating it to the top 4 of the creativity ranking the following year.

In 2019, he returned to McCann Santiago as CCO. That same year, McCann Chile reached the number 1 spot in the prestigious Crema Ranking for the first time in its history. In 2021, they repeated this achievement, and in the same year, McCann also reached the number 1 spot in the Local Creative Ranking for the first time.

In 2022, he took on the challenge of being President & CCO to relaunch DDB Chile, alongside DDB Latina, in the country, and the following year the agency reached the top 2 spot in the Chilean agency ranking.

He is a winner at Cannes, ONE SHOW, LIA, CLIO, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, El Sol, Effie Latam, and numerous regional and local festivals, with a total of over 170 awards.

Nominated as Best Creative Director in Marketing Best Chile in 2018, 2020, 2021, and winner in 2022. In 2021, he was highlighted as the Best Creative Director in Chile by the Creativity Festival.

He began his career in 1992 at Marcet & Associates.

Later, he was part of the creative teams at JWT, CraveroLanis, and VegaolmosPonce.

In 2008, after a brief stint as Creative Director at Young & Rubicam, he joined Publicis Argentina, where he held the position of Creative Director. In 2010, he moved to Ogilvy Argentina and, after 3 years, joined El Club as an Associate Creative Director. In 2018, he joined the creative team at McCann, and in 2021, he was promoted to the position of Executive Creative Director at McCann Buenos Aires.

Throughout his career, he has worked with clients such as YPF, Coca-Cola, Rexona, Buscapina, Mastercard, Axe, Knorr, Dulcolax, Hellmann's, Ford, Savora, Quilmes, Piero, Smirnoff, Peugeot, L'Oreal, Carrefour, Visa, Nestlé, Movistar, and Renault, among others.

He has served as a jury member at festivals such as El Ojo, Fiap, LIA, Effie, and El Diente, among others

Jahara is the founder and Co-Chief Creative Officer of Dark Kitchen Creatives, a "boutique" advertising agency specializing in creativity and strategy. It was born in September 2020 from the dream of having an independent and agile agency with expertise to offer a model that provides diverse solutions according to clients' needs.

In a career spanning over 28 years, Jahara, as he is more commonly known, started as an Art Director in Rio - the city where he was born and grew up - and has worked in leading Brazilian advertising agencies, including F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi, AlmapBBDO, Publicis Brazil, DM9, Leo Burnett TM, F.biz, and DDB.

Throughout this journey, Jahara has worked with some of Brazil's top advertisers, including Jeep, Fiat, Volkswagen, Audi, Havaianas, Claro Telcom, Gol Airlines, O Boticário, AB-Inbev (many brands), Unilever (Seda, Baby Dove, Axe, TresEmmé, CloseUp, OMO), Samsung, P&G, Motorola, Bradesco, Itaú, Rico Investiments, Nestlé, Seara Foods, OLX, among others.
